PNRR for Trentino
As of June 2026, the estimated total PNRR funding already allocated or in the process of being allocated to Trentino amounts to approximately€1.58 billion(a brief overview of the distribution by initiative and sector is provided in the infographics below).
For coordination purposes, the Autonomous Province of Trento has set up asteering committee anda PNRR task force (Resolution No. 1825 of 29 October 2021), in collaboration with the joint working group set up by the Consortium of Trentino Municipalities together with the provincial body responsible for local authorities. On 30 December 2022 , Provincial Law No. 20 of 29 December 2022came into force ;Article 16 of this law provided, amongst other things, the establishment of a Strategic Task Force to facilitate the coordination and monitoring of initiatives relating to the PNRR and the PNC. To maximise the results of the province’s participation, the Provincial Executive has therefore updated the organisational provisions for the coordination and implementation of the measures set out in the PNRR and the PNC relating to the territory of the Province of Trento (Resolution No. 407 of 10 March 2023). Governance is based on a multi-level model. The political level sets out the guidelines within the framework of provincial planning and oversees dialogue with other institutional bodies and representatives of civil society. The technical level oversees the implementation of PNRR-PNC projects and is the responsibility of the relevant provincial departments and strategic mission units, under the coordination of the Director-General, who, as of 20 March 2023, the new Strategic Mission Unit for Planning, Europe and the PNRR.
Among the initiatives to promote dialogue and coordination in the implementation of measures under the PNRR and the National Plan for Complementary Investments, the Permanent Consultative Forum was established and updated (Resolutions No. 595 of 8 April 2022andNo. 1737 of 30 September 2022) thePermanent Consultative Forum, comprising representatives of the province, the social partners and local authorities, with advisory functions, the task of monitoring the implementation status of projects carried out within the province, and assessing their impact, as provided for in Article 2(2) of the law accompanying the 2022 provincial budget (Provincial Law No. 21 of 27 December 2021).
In implementation of a measure under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), to improve the performance of the Trentino public administration in managing complex procedures (e.g. construction, the environment, public procurement) which may also impact the interventions provided for in the Plan itself, a task force of experts.
