Social media policy

The methods for managing official profiles activated by the Autonomous Province of Trento on social media are described below.

This policy refers only to the official social profiles managed by the Press Office.

Purpose
The Autonomous Province of Trento uses the Internet and social media - Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Linkedin - to inform, communicate, listen and encourage participation, discussion and dialogue on issues concerning Trentino, its culture and its territory. In these spaces and with these activities, the Provincial Administration intends to pursue institutional and general interest objectives and, at the same time, share ideas, values and emotions.

The following official profiles are activated on social media

are managed by the Press Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Contents
The official social profiles of the Autonomous Province of Trento are constantly updated with the publication of information on new opportunities, announcements, events and news.
Textual content, photographs, infographics, videos and other multimedia materials of the Administration are published there, under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY 3.0) licence, the full text of which is available at the following address: http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/it/legalcode), except where expressly indicated.

Management
The Autonomous Province of Trento is committed to managing spaces for communication and dialogue within its official social profiles, asking its interlocutors - who have the opportunity to actively participate through forms of interaction (such as comments or messages) - to observe certain rules.

• The provincial administration invites polite, relevant and respectful conversation. It therefore asks everyone to present their opinion with fairness and measure, based as far as possible on verifiable facts, and to respect the opinions of others.
• In social channels, everyone is responsible, including legally, for the content they publish and the opinions they express. Insults, vulgarity, insults, threats and, in general, violent behaviour will not be tolerated.
• Published content must always respect people's privacy . References to facts or details that are not of public relevance and that harm the personal sphere of third parties are to be avoided.
• The public interest of the topics is an essential requirement: it is not possible in any way to use the spaces activated by the Autonomous Province of Trento on social media to address personal cases.
• Each discussion is linked to a specific topic of general interest: this must be respected, avoiding broadening the discussion in a generic and indiscriminate manner.
• No form of advertising, spam or promotion of private interests or illegal activities will be tolerated.
• Content that infringes copyright or the unauthorised use of registered trademarks is not permitted.

Moderation
Moderation by the Provincial Administration within its own official social profiles takes place a posteriori, that is, at a time subsequent to publication, and is aimed solely at containing, within a reasonable timeframe and in a manner that can be reasonably expected, any behaviour that is contrary to the rules of use listed above.
In particular, within its official profiles in the various social channels, the Autonomous Province of Trento reserves the right to

• not to reply to comments that are out of place or inherent to statements made by political subjects and their choices
• remove all posts, comments or audio/video material that
  • use inappropriate language and/or a threatening, violent, vulgar or offensive tone
  • have unlawful content or incitement to engage in unlawful activities;
  • have the purpose of promoting products and services
  • disclose, directly or indirectly, personal data and information (names, email addresses, telephone numbers, tax codes, bank account numbers, addresses, protocol numbers of documents or files, videos or photos of recognisable persons, etc.) or which in any way may cause damage or harm the confidentiality or reputation of the persons concerned
  • contain, directly or indirectly, information referring to minors;
  • have discriminatory content on grounds of gender, race, ethnicity, language, religious belief, political opinion, sexual orientation, age, personal and social conditions, health;
  • have spamming purposes;
  • promote or support lawful or unlawful activities, violate copyright or misuse a registered trademark;
  • are generally inconsistent with the communication purposes of the Autonomous Province of Trento and with the communication content of its social profiles(off topic).
• block users who repeatedly take the actions listed above, reporting the user to the moderation filters of the host social network.

Protection of personal data
The processing of users' personal data complies with the policies in use on the platforms used. Personal or sensitive data included in public comments or posts within the official social profiles of the Autonomous Province of Trento may be removed.
Data shared by users through private messages sent directly to the manager of the aforementioned official social profiles (Press Office of the Autonomous Province of Trento) shall be processed in compliance with the applicable laws on personal data protection and the Privacy Policy on the website of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
