Provincial Council

The Provincial Council is one of the bodies of the Province, together with the President of the Province and the Provincial Council. The Provincial Council may well be considered the 'Parliament' of Trentino and performs the legislative function. It is therefore a representative body of the population and a political body, since it guides and determines the political choices of the Province. The Provincial Council is elected by universal, direct and secret suffrage and consists of thirty-five councillors.

At 12 noon on Wednesday, 7 November 2023, the central constituency office proclaimed elected the president of the Province in the person of Maurizio Fugatti as well as the councillors and provincial councillors for the 17th Legislature. From this moment on, President Fugatti assumes all competences that within ten days will be assigned to the councillors he will appoint. On these pages, until the appointment of the new Council, the executive of the previous Legislature will therefore continue to be reported.
