Description
Hotel establishments are unitary managed accommodation establishments with at least seven accommodation units and organised to provide accommodation and breakfast services, as well as any food and beverage services and other ancillary services to the public for a price.
Accommodation units are defined as rooms, suites, flats with or without independent kitchen service, which meet the requirements set out in the implementing regulations.
Hotel establishments are divided into the following types:
- HOTELS that provide food and beverage service as well as accommodation and breakfast to guests in accommodation units without independent kitchen service or for a maximum share of 30 per cent of the beds.
- GARNI' HOTELS providing breakfast and beverage service. If equipped with a beverage service open to the public, they may also provide quick meals.
- RTAs (Residenze turistico alberghiere) which provide accommodation for guests exclusively in accommodation units with autonomous kitchen service for a minimum of 70 per cent of the beds. Breakfast and beverage services must also be provided.
- HOTELVILLAGES which provide centralised services to guests in accommodation units located in several hotel buildings and garnì hotels located in a single delimited area
- CONDHOTELS which provide, under unitary management, ancillary services and possibly food in rooms intended for accommodation and, in an integrated and complementary form, in residential accommodation units with a kitchen, the total surface area of which may not exceed 40% of the surface area intended for bedrooms. Restrictions
Hotel establishments, depending on their type, must meet the minimum requirements of the regulations in force.
