How to obtain recognition of the denomination, specific type and requirements for each hotel establishment.

Description

The classification consists of the recognition of the name, specific type and requirements possessed by each hotel establishment.

In relation to type, hotel establishments (which are divided into hotels, hotel garnìs, tourist hotel residences, hotel villages and condhotels) are classified into five levels, marked in descending order by 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 stars. Establishments classified with three and four stars may be given the additional term'superior' when they meet specific quality parameters set out in the implementing regulation.

Restrictions

To obtain the classification, the hotel establishment must meet

  • the minimum requirements set out in Article 8 of Provincial Law 7/2002;
  • the functional structural and accessory parameters provided for in Table A, art. 39 of Provincial Law 7/2002.

Classification is compulsory and is a prerequisite for exercising the activity.

What to do

To request the classification of the hotel establishment, a special request must be sent, necessarily indicating the relevant technical plans, to the email address ufficio.ricettivita.professionitur@provincia.tn.it.

The reference officer of the competent office (tel. 0461-493179email:martina.saltori@provincia.tn.it) will provide support in filling in the self-classification declaration.

This declaration must be submitted for new establishments and to report all changes in the classification elements even if they do not involve changes in the classification level or type.

Special cases

In the case of the classification of a condominium-type hotel establishment, the procedure concludes with a classification decision by the provincial manager responsible for tourism and not with a letter declaring the classification's effectiveness.

Maximum no. of waiting days

The declaration of self-classification becomes effective after a maximum waiting period of 30 days from the request for assistance to the competent official.Once the self-classification document has been consolidated, the letter communicating the effectiveness of the declaration of self-classification is forwarded in accordance with Article 10 of Provincial Law 7/2002.If, at any time, it is ascertained that elements of classification have changed or that the declared requirements are not met, resulting in changes in the level of classification or in the type of business attributed or resulting in the business not being classifiable, the classification is modified or revoked ex officio. From the time of notification of the start of the procedure to amend or revoke the classification declaration by the Director of the Tourism Service, it is possible to submit any counter-arguments that may be useful for suspending the procedure.
