Description
It is a contribution in support of expenses relating to professional sporting activities recognised by CONI (football, cycling, boxing, golf, motorcycling, basketball) or of a non-professional nature if participating in the national top division championships.
The following expenses are eligible if they relate to the performance of the professional activity or of the top league referring to the sporting season in which the activity that is the subject of the grant takes place and which ends in the year following the year in which the application is submitted
(a) costs for sports technicians enrolled in professional registers and for the following sports workers: athletes, coaches, instructors, technical directors, athletic trainers, match directors
b) costs for services: reimbursements to sports volunteers; self-employment services; transport; accommodation and meals; competition execution; charges on receipts; competition fees; registration for competitions/championships;
c) general costs for sporting activities: training and retreats; health costs; purchase and rental of equipment; players' tryouts; costs for relations with local teams; accessory charges for player transfers.
The contribution is granted to the extent of 50% of the eligible expenditure and in any case within the limit of the operating loss, the operating deficit, any "de minimis" aid already granted in the previous three years and taking into account the resources made available.
The subsidy is provided for by Article 17 of Provincial Law 21 April 2016, no. 4 "Provincial Law on Sport 2016" while the activity of a professional nature is identified by Law 23 March 1981, no. 91 "Rules on relations between companies and professional sportsmen".
Restrictions
The application for a contribution must be submitted between 1 and 30 November of each year and relate to the sporting season in which the activity that is the subject of the contribution takes place and which ends in the year following the year in which the application is submitted.
On the basis of the available resources, established annually by the Provincial Executive, all accepted applications are financed. In the event that the available resources are insufficient to fully fund the admitted applications, the contribution shall be proportionally recalculated in relation to the applications for which the eligible contribution exceeds €20,000 and only for the portion of the contribution exceeding this amount.
