Europe
Every day we hear about the European Union, its actions and decisions, but we find it difficult to grasp what the EU actually does for us citizens and for our territory.
The EU, together with the Italian State and the Autonomous Province of Trento, supports development policies directly on the Trentino territory thanks to the ERDF, ESF+ and EAFRD funds, which offer a multitude of opportunities for citizens and businesses. At the same time, Trentino has the opportunity to grow and build an increasingly wide network of partnerships thanks to European sectoral funding programmes.
The EU has also planned the Next Generation EU, an extraordinary 750 billion euro programme to respond to the pandemic crisis, which requires each Member State to present its own National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP).
In our Province there are also two European Commission Information Centres, Europe Direct Trentino and the European Documentation Centre Trento (CDE Trento). The Centres are instruments through which the European Commission is present on the territory, promoting European culture and citizenship by making all the information citizens need accessible.
