Responsibilities and functions
EUROPE DIRECT Trentinoand CDE Trento aretwo European Commission information centres that form part of the EUROPE DIRECT network, a family of EU-wide networks managed and coordinated by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Communication.
Their mission is to bring Europe closer to its citizens by answering questions about EU policies, programmes and priorities.

Initiatives and projects
- Laboratorio Europa: educational modules exploring the European Union, aimed at pupils at various school levels in the Province of Trento
- events on European issues, including in collaboration with other local organisations involved in European affairs

The Centres collaborate with UMSe Europa, the University of Trento and other local organisations to promote understanding of the European Union by organising seminars, events and workshops for pupils at different school levels, providing:
- official European Union documents
- access to EU databases
- books and magazines available for consultation and loan
- brochures and free information material on Europe
