The Provincial Board of Health Services emphasises the great attention with which it looks at the figure of general practitioners, their needs and the role they play, which has always been an irreplaceable outpost in the provision of care and assistance to citizens. Nevertheless, with reference to the debate on family medicine, which has occupied and continues to occupy so much space these days in the daily newspapers and other media, the Provincial Health Services Board considers it appropriate to make some clarifications.
