Within the framework of the agreement between the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen for the promotion of youth engagement in society, the project 'Generations: creative grafts' was approved today by the Provincial Council, at the proposal of the Education, University and Culture Councillor Mirko Bisesti.
"We consider education for active citizenship, the participation of young people and their activation in the enhancement of territories to be fundamental. Culture, in particular, can take on an extraordinary role in putting people back at the centre and in acting as a glue between generations and contexts, which is why we have approved a project that urges young people in particular to become protagonists of cultural activation within their own communities,' commented councillor Bisesti. "Starting this year, the project is being remodelled and will become biennial, with the aim of giving it more breath and continuity. In fact, we have seen a strong participation by associations and communities in Trentino and South Tyrol, with events that have given voice to the territories, even the peripheral ones, and to the young people living there,' adds the councillor.
For the realisation of the project, the Autonomous Province of Trento will transfer to the Autonomous Province of Bolzano, as project leader, an amount of EUR 100,000 for 2023 and EUR 98,000 for 2024.
