Fruit Logistica, the world's leading exhibition for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector, concluded today in Berlin. This year's edition of Fruit Logistica recorded the presence of 2610 exhibitors from 92 countries, spread over a larger area than even before the pandemic, and a visitor attendance in line with the expectations of the organisers.
This is certainly an encouraging sign for a sector that has been faced with quite a few critical issues mainly related to the supply chain, inflation, slowdowns in the flow of goods and rising energy costs. Themes that over the three days were addressed in the various events scheduled with the most important key players and experts in the sector.
Trentino also presented itself at the Berlin fruit and vegetable showcase, which saw the participation of, among others, the Melinda, La Trentina and Sant'Orsola Consortia and Apot, the Trentino Fruit and Vegetable Producers Association, with the coordination and support of Trentino Marketing.
"Our companies brought to Berlin the value of the cooperative model and the excellence of our territory, both for the quality of production and for sustainable innovation, thanks to strategic choices that favour energy saving and reduce environmental impact. The Autonomous Province of Trento continues to guarantee its support to valorise the sector, to the benefit of producers, consumers and the territory itself,' commented Agriculture Councillor Giulia Zanotelli.
