After restoration work on the halls and library collections, the 'Pia Laviosa Zambotti' specialist library, annexed to the Archaeological Heritage Office of the UMSt Soprintendenza per i beni e le attività culturali, in Trento, Via Mantova 67, will be open to the public again from Wednesday 26 March. The library specialises in the archaeology of the countries of the Alpine arc, although there are also large sectors dedicated to more general topics. It has over 30,000 publications including monographs, abstracts and journals, the result of both acquisitions on the publishing market and exchanges with approximately 300 libraries of superintendencies, museums, universities and cultural institutes, both Italian and foreign. New for users is the new newsletter that will give updates on new publications and acquisitions. To receive it, interested parties can send an email to biblioteca.archeologica@provincia.tn.it.
Opening hours for the public are Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 3.45 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., by appointment (tel. 0461 492167, email biblioteca.archeologica@provincia.tn.it).
