Special Area of Conservation (SAC)

A stupendous example of a crystalline, extensively glaciated alpine acrochore, from which deep valleys branch off, with the entire vegetation type from the snowline to the valley floor. The site is of relevant national and/or provincial interest for the presence and reproduction of endangered animal species, important glacial relicts, exclusive and/or typical of the Alps. Annex 2 invertebrate species linked to forests in good natural condition are present.
