Description
A relict example of a valley floor alderpod.
This is a vitally important biotope for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles.
The site is also of importance for the nesting, resting and/or wintering of protected or strongly declining bird species and/or those with a localised distribution in the Alps.
Presence of Annex II invertebrates indicating good naturalness of running waters.
Habitats of special interest not included in Annex I of Directive 92/43/EEC are present, in particular: fragments of Magnocaricion Caricetum elatae (2-3%).
