The rocky environment is noteworthy from a floristic point of view, due to the presence of valuable chasmophytic ferns as well as rare spontaneous-ruderal species in the sub-rock environment.
This is a vitally important biotope for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles.
Historic site of occurrence of Annex II lepidopteran species, which are in sharp decline.
Habitats of special interest not included in Annex I of Directive 92/43/EEC are present, in particular: Orno-Ostryon, Lappulo-Asperginetum (1%).
