Increased energy production from renewable sources - ERDF Notice No. 2/2022 Investments in photovoltaic plants

ERDF grants to support companies investing in the construction of photovoltaic installations, combined with storage systems, aimed at increasing production from renewable sources.
The company may apply for the grant, either under the exemption regime or the de minimis regime, as follows
1. for applications of any amount, under the exemption scheme, for the following initiatives:
(a) supply and installation of new photovoltaic systems with peak power (P) from 15 kW up to 1000 kW
In addition:
(b) storage system with a maximum eligible expenditure of 800 €/kWh
c) technical expenses relating to the intervention in question (design, works management, consultancy, testing, etc.) up to a limit of 10% of the total eligible expenses for the implementation of the intervention
2. for applications for an amount of eligible expenditure exceeding €200,000, under the de minimis regime, for the following initiatives
a) supply and installation of new photovoltaic systems with peak power (P) from 15 kW up to 1000 kW
In addition:
(b) storage system with a maximum eligible expenditure of €800/kWh
c) removal and disposal of asbestos cement roofing up to the limit of 20 €/sq.m.
d) technical expenses related to the intervention in question (design, work management, consultancy, testing, etc.) up to a limit of 10% of the total eligible expenses for the implementation of the intervention
e) charging stations for electric vehicles

From 7 February 2024, the de minimis contribution is granted under the new Regulation 2023/2831. Until 30 June 2024, the contribution may be granted under the old Regulation 1407/2014 as amended only if more favourable to the applicant in terms of aid ceiling.
Special rules apply to accounting, traceability, payment and reporting of expenses incurred. Please check these aspects in Annex 4 of the notice (LINK TO THE NOTICE).

Grant applications will be assessed by means of a counter evaluation procedure.
The criteria by which eligibility for assistance will be verified are: general formal eligibility criteria, general substantive eligibility criteria, specific substantive eligibility criteria, assessment criteria and award criteria.

Investment Reporting
The reporting of the facilitated initiative must be made through an IT platform by accessing the SI-FESR platform in the "Digital Channels" by clicking on the"Login to the SI-FESR Trento portal" button. For the compilation you can refer to the Manual for the online compilation of the REPORTING ERDF Notice n. 2/2022 - SI-FESR platform available in the Documents section at the bottom of this page.
