Description
According to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2021/1060 (Art. 50), beneficiaries of the ERDF Programme 2021-2027 are required to comply with a series of communication obligations, which consist in giving visibility on their official website and social media, but also through other tools, to the support of European funds to their project.
The communication obligations represent an opportunity for the beneficiary, allowing it to give greater visibility to its reality and to make its projects known to a wider audience.
Below you can find a brief summary of the main communication requirements, which are explained in detail in the Guidelines for Beneficiaries.
Of fundamental importance for communication on European funds is the block of four logos shown below, namely Cohesion Italy 21-27 Trentino, the EU, the Italian Republic and the Autonomous Province of Trento. It is placed on all documents and communication material concerning the implementation of the operation, whether intended for the public or for participants, so as to highlight the support of the Union.
OFFICIAL WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA
The beneficiary is required to publish on its official website and social media a brief description of the operation, with its objectives and results, clearly highlighting the financial support received from the Union. It is important that the website and social media page related to the operation features the Programme logo block.
POSTER OR ELECTRONIC DISPLAY
For operations whose total cost is equal to or less than EUR 500,000, the beneficiary must display in a place easily visible to the public at least one poster of no less than A3 size or an equivalent electronic display bearing information about the operation highlighting the support received from the funds.
PLAQUES OR BILLBOARDS
For ERDF-supported operations exceeding €500,000, the beneficiary shall be required to display, in a permanent and clearly visible manner to the public, plaques or billboards bearing the emblem of the Union. This must be done as soon as the physical implementation of the operation involving tangible investments or the installation of purchased equipment begins.
COMMUNICATION EVENT OR ACTIVITY
For operations of strategic importance and operations whose total cost exceeds EUR 10 million, the beneficiary shall organise a communication event or activity involving the Commission and the Managing Authority of the Programme in good time.
FAILURES
If the beneficiary does not comply with its obligations or does not take corrective action, the Managing Authority shall apply measures, taking into account the principle of proportionality, by cancelling up to 3% of the support from the funds of the operation concerned.
