Description
A fuel distribution plant for private use is understood to be a unitary complex, installed within plants at the company's premises or in quarries and/or construction sites, warehouses and the like, consisting of one or more underground or above-ground tanks to be used exclusively for the supply of automotive fuel required for the operation of the individual company's vehicles and motor vehicles.
The renovation of this type of facility is subject to communication or authorisation by the Province. The nautra and contents of the communication vary depending on the category of the restructuring and the theoretical capacity of the tanks.
In the case of changing the product contained in the tanks without changing the tanks themselves, it is necessary to submit a communication for partial restructuring of the plant.
In the case of an increase in capacity due to the installation of new tanks, replacement of existing tanks or relocation of the location
1) if the plant has been started through the simplified procedure (Segnalazione certificata di inizio attività per impianti ad uso privato di capacità fino a 10 mc) after the installation/movement of the tanks and before the first filling it is necessary to send the "Segnalazione certificata di inizio attività per ristrutturazione totale di impianti di distribuzione di carburante ad uso privato";
2) if the installation has been started by means of authorisation (Authorisation for installations with a capacity exceeding 10 mc) before applying to the municipality for a building permit it is necessary to send the "Application for authorisation for total refurbishment of fuel distribution installations for private use".

Restrictions
An administrative sanction of between 1,000 and 6,000 euro shall be imposed on any person who installs and operates a motor fuel distribution activity for private use or totally restructures it in the absence of the prescribed authorisation or the notification of commencement of activity in the case of installations of up to 10 cubic metres.
