Handicrafts

Craftsmanship in Trentino is a rich and varied sector, guardian of traditions and ancient techniques. The activities of craftsmen are rooted in the history of the territory and are often handed down from generation to generation, becoming a distinguishing feature of the areas in which they are carried out. The protection of craft enterprises in the Province of Trento is guaranteed by regulations that define the procedures for their establishment, by the institution of a register of craft enterprises and by the presence of the figure of the master craftsman.

The Province supports the development of handicrafts through economic facilities in favour of the companies in the sector financed by regional, state and EU funds as well as through interventions for the qualification and enhancement of handicrafts. The keeping of the register of craft businesses is delegated to the Trento Chamber of Commerce.
