Trade
The economic system in general and therefore also the commerce sector - in all its manifestations - cannot develop without rules and without a strategy that, starting from a reading of the expressions and vocations of the territories, are able to create the most suitable conditions and a favourable environment for the growth of businesses and their competitiveness as a motor for the development of the entire community.
A balanced, modern and competitive regulation must propose opportunities for economic initiative, development, openness to markets, competition and freedom of access to economic activities; at the same time, it must safeguard the rights and interests of consumers and ensure that they have adequate purchasing opportunities.
The Province of Trento regulates, in harmony with the principles defined by the State, wholesale and retail trade in private and public areas, markets, special forms of trade, the serving of food and beverages, the distribution of fuel, and trade fairs.
The Province of Trento also supports the development of the trade sector by providing promotional measures aimed at encouraging the settlement and permanence of economic activities in mountain areas, enhancing the value of historic trading places, identifying and enhancing historic shops and typical inns and supporting the promotion and development of the provincial trade fair system.
