The Catalogue of Services of the Autonomous Province of Trento

To implement the single access point to all public services offered by the Autonomous Province of Trento to citizens, businesses, organisations, associations or other public administrations

General information

EU Regulation 2018/1724 establishes the " Single Digital Gateway", a single digital access point to information related to public services.

The catalogue of services of the Autonomous Province of Trento fits into this context and aims to be a tool that facilitates online access to information on rights, obligations, rules and procedures.

The catalogue contains specific information sheets containing all the information on the public services offered by the Province: what the service consists of, who it is aimed at, how to access it, contact and assistance points, forms, regulations, documentation, etc.

Each sheet is structured according to the model proposed by Designers Italia and adopted by other public administrations in the area, in order to facilitate consultation by the user.

The drafting process is not only geared to the creation of web pages, but to the structuring of information according to defined standards. The references for the definition of ontologies and taxonomies are the European vocabularies defined in the context of the European Commission's Interoperable Europe initiative(Core Public Service Vocabulary - CPSV) and the national data semantics catalogue.

The data are exposed through API-REST, allowing their reuse in compliance with the AGID Guidelines on Technical Interoperability of PA, and open on the Trentino Open Data Catalogue.

The establishment of the service catalogue is in synergy with the launch of coordinated actions for the simplification, reworking and digitalisation of services, which involve all the structures directly responsible and have favoured a user-centred approach to the display of information and the provision of services.

Goals

To standardise access to digital services in all EU Member States and make it easier for citizens and businesses to exercise their rights and do business through access to information, procedures and services.

The main objectives of the catalogue are

  • tofoster digital interaction between public administrations, citizens and businesses in order to improve access to information and the provision of services, through the clear, systematic and structured description of all public services, so as to provide all users with a single point of online access to complete and up-to-date information, to find what they actually need
  • develop coordinated actions to simplify and digitise services, making them easier to find and access, putting users and their needs at the centre;
  • develop an effective communication tool with the user, promoting the use of a less bureaucratic, clear, easy-to-understand language;
  • produce quality, machine-readabledata adhering to national and European semantic standards and the Core Public Service Vocabulary (CPSV-AP) data model and promote their re-use.

The public service catalogue favours

  • immediate and simplified access to comprehensive, structured, standardised and up-to-date information;
  • improved interoperability and data quality;
  • a user-centric approach to information display and service delivery;
  • a simplified, more efficient and timely interaction with the user;
  • the implementation of the European Regulation establishing the Single Digital Gateway;
  • the reduction of costs related to the management and control of information in the various web spaces owned by the authority;
  • raising the awareness of the Province's staff with respect to communication with users and data management.
