Responsibilities and functions
The Strategic Mission Unit digitisation and networks
- in accordance with national and European guidelines, oversees the coordination of policies for the use of ICT as a tool for improving relations with citizens and businesses
- ensures the coordination of strategic initiatives concerning digital administration, dematerialisation of processes and documents and digital transition
- coordinates activities related to the use and dissemination of technologies
- coordinates the Province's activities regarding open data
- coordinates activities related to the provincial portal system
- supervises the implementation of the measures of the PNRR of interest to the territory for the aspects of competence and coordinates those concerning the transversal interventions for the digital transition
- on the basis of the indications provided by the Directorate General, takes care of coordination activities on the issues of connectivity and network development
- develops the diffusion of ultra-wideband in Trentino, carrying out the coordination, management and integration of the different advanced connectivity systems present in the territory and related infrastructures
- in cooperation with the Civil Protection Department, it takes care of the coordination of the various emergency and support networks for civil protection, making use of the appointed system company
- it handles relations with public and private entities operating in the telecommunications sector, including the competent ministries and AGCOM, also in relation to the authorisation aspects concerning the Province's private networks. This activity will also involve coordinating the mobile telephony operators so that they provide radio signal coverage in the tunnels
