Digitisation
Digital transformation involves the entire Public Administration and plays a strategic role in simplifying relations with citizens and businesses and in the growth of the community and the economy in general. Through the strengthening of digital infrastructures, the creation of websites and latest-generation online services, and the use of interoperable data platforms, the Public Administration provides its users with its wealth of information as well as innovative, simple and accessible digital services, designed on the basis of the needs of the recipients, with the aim of reducing waiting times, costs and bureaucratic burdens.
The strategy of the Autonomous Province of Trento described in the Document"Towards the Trentino Digital District 2026 - Digital Agenda and for the simplification of the Autonomous Province of Trento 2022-2024 " is part of a particularly important contingent phase, taking into account, on the one hand, the challenges introduced by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which in the years 2021-2026 allocates over 27% of total resources to digital transition, and on the other hand, the indications deriving from the new cycle of European programming 2021/2027 and is consistent with the European strategy set by the Digital Compass for Europe and with the digital transformation objectives outlined in the national strategy Digital Italy 2026 .

The document describes the ICT strategy for the digital transformation and simplification of Trentino's public administration and has the twofold objective of
- to summarise the main simplification and digitalisation actions underway and already planned by the provincial administration in the years 2022-2024 (Digital and Simplification Agenda)
- define a macro trajectory of digital development of the territory until 2026, aligning itself with the project priorities of the Flagship Project on the digitalisation of the provincial public administration and with the deadlines set by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
