Massimo Bernardi, 40 years old, from Trento, is the new director of the MUSE - Science Museum of Trento. The appointment was formalised today with a provision of the Provincial Council signed by President Maurizio Fugatti, following a selection procedure launched last May.
The vice-president and culture councillor Francesca Gerosa also congratulated the president on the appointment "for a prestigious position conferred at the end of a process that saw the participation of 26 candidates, which made it possible to identify the best skills for the management of one of the most important museums in the Trentino and national panorama". "We place our utmost trust in Director Bernardi, to whom we extend our best wishes for the start of this new professional challenge," commented Fugatti and Gerosa. Vice-President Gerosa said: 'I hope that with this year's museum renewal, which saw the appointment of the new President Prof. Stefano Bruno Galli and now the new director, MUSE can experience a new season of great success.
Bernardi's appointment is the result of a final selection process that narrowed down the number of candidates to four. All of them were required to have professional experience carrying out managerial functions in public administrations or public or private companies for at least five years and a curriculum vitae, accompanied by scientific publications, attesting experience in the management of relations with the national and international scientific and museum community, as well as having worked with scientific research tools and methods on the topics of nature, science and the sustainable future.
