   Paediatric hospice, Monday 3 March the laying of the foundation stone in Via al Desert

   On Monday, 3 March, the laying of the foundation stone will mark the official start of work on the paediatric hospice in Trento, in the al Desert area. The facility will be built in a strategic area: a 2,500 square metre area adjacent to the Protontherapy Centre and the new University Hospital of Trento. The new project, worth a total of EUR 7.68 million, was financed for EUR 2.68 million by the Autonomous Province of Trento and EUR 5 million by the Prime Minister's Office, Department for Regional Affairs and Autonomies. The tender was won by the Trentino-based company Pretti e Scalfi, which obtained the contract with a discount of just over 7.4%, following an invitation-only procedure promoted by the provincial health services agency. "The Province confirms its commitment to improving the quality of health services for all citizens, especially the most fragile ones," are the words of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti. "This new hospice will be built in a strategic area next to the hospital and the Protontherapy Centre, as decided in the last legislature, when the project was born. It will be part of what will become the future health centre of Trentino, creating an integrated and highly specialised environment'.
   Satisfaction is also expressed by the provincial health councillor, Mario Tonina: "The paediatric hospice will be a point of reference for paediatric palliative care, with a facility that will not only be a place of care, but an innovative model that responds to the needs of families. A facility that will also become a reference point for the rest of Italy'.
   "The laying of the foundation stone of the paediatric hospice," says Antonio Ferro, general director of the Apss, "represents a step forward in the care of young patients and a tangible sign of the attention that the Trentino community pays to the most fragile people. This state-of-the-art facility will make it possible to offer palliative care of the highest quality to children and young adults in our and neighbouring areas, in a welcoming and comfortable environment. We are proud to be able to contribute to the realisation of this project, which testifies to the commitment of Apss in guaranteeing health services that are increasingly efficient and close to the needs of citizens".

   At the Euregio Tuesday focus on young people: from school to the world of work

   Today at Casa Moggioli in Trento the Euregio Tuesday event dedicated to paths from school to the world of work took place, with the presentation of the intermediate results of the project "Euregio Transitions: the world of youth between transitions, challenges and opportunities", which involved about 9,000 young people from Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino and conducted 70 interviews with students, teachers and guidance practitioners.
   The Vice-President and Councillor for Education of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Francesca Gerosa, welcomed the participants at the opening of the event, emphasising that "for young people, important choices for their future, linked to schooling or the decision on which career path to take, require constant and customised guidance, which integrates the passing on of information, specific training and practical experience. The 'Trentino system' favours this synergy, through network policies and initiatives that help and support young people in understanding how to develop conscious and autonomous choices, in order to be active players in their growth and in the changes that these important phases of life entail. The presentation of this project is particularly important for its research character, but also as an invitation to compare with good practices and innovative models that the Trentino, South Tyrol and Tyrol territories put in place to be at young people's side in those delicate decision-making moments that are the transitions between school, training and the world of work'.
   Among those present were the school superintendent of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Giuseppe Rizza, and Trentino's representative in the Euregio General Secretariat, Elisa Bertò,
   As Bertò explained, 'the project aims to analyse and improve young people's transition paths between school and the world of work. At the same time, it aims to support the administrations of the three territories in implementing effective measures and to strengthen networking'.
   The data collected offer a significant insight into the challenges faced by young people in the three Euregio territories, highlighting differences and similarities in the guidance and support systems.

    Talent and inclusion: the Dream association visits President Fugatti

    Enthusiasm and courage are the main ingredients of every dish that the boys of the Dream association bring to the table. Inside a sheltered workshop, they have the opportunity to give free rein to their culinary talents, demonstrating that each dish they prepare is a step towards social inclusion and autonomy. Yesterday, during a visit to the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, and the Councillor for Health and Social Policies, Mario Tonina, the young cooks, accompanied by some volunteers and the president Daniela Vassallo, had the opportunity to talk about their activities and share the progress they have achieved. 'Initiatives like this are a concrete example of how commitment, passion and innovation can be combined to offer real opportunities even to the most fragile people,' were the words of President Fugatti, who wished the youngsters all the best, assuring them that 'the provincial administration will continue to be at your side'. The meeting, full of emotion and gratitude, was a significant moment to share the work that the association is carrying out in the field of social inclusion and youth talent.

    Inauguration of the judicial year, Fugatti: "Court of Auditors, fruitful cooperation

    The collaborative relationship established between the offices of the Autonomous Province of Trento and the Court of Auditors was highlighted by the regional prosecutor, Gianluca Albo, during the opening ceremony of the 2025 judicial year, which was attended by the President of the Province, Maurizio Fugatti. 'Institutional cooperation, while respecting our respective roles, has been very positive and, especially in the last year, has enabled us to achieve good results. We appreciate the words of approval on our cooperation, expressed in the various speeches, which confirm the effectiveness of our work. We are motivated to continue along this path, aware that the indications coming from the Court of Auditors are a stimulus to work with ever greater commitment in the management of public affairs,' Fugatti emphasised on the sidelines of the ceremony. The appointment was also attended - among others - by the general manager of the Province, Raffaele De Col, and the general manager of the Umst General Affairs Office of the Presidency and Secretary of the Council, Nicola Foradori.
