    Lake and peat bog immersed in a vast meadow basin framed by a thick spruce forest, between Monte Bedolè and the Cima Folga massif, municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza.

    The lake is included in the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park territory and in the Natura 2000 ZSC Lagorai Orientale - Cima Bocche area.

    A relict of riverbed vegetation located just upstream of the Lago village, on the hydrographic left of the Avisio river. The herbaceous vegetation settled on the more recent alluvium is followed by a shrub- tree belt of willows and white alders.

    These are two lakes (Lago Santo and Lago della Mar) located in basins of exaration (calcareous substrate), situated in the lower mountain range at the foot of the eastern slope of the Paganella.
    Nearby are mowable meadows and mixed woods (also a stretch of fir forest).

    Three small alpine lakes near Forcella Lusia on the Cima Bocche massif, municipality of Moena.

    The lakes lie within the territory of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park and are included in the much larger Natura 2000 areas ZSC Lagorai Orientale - Cima Bocche and ZPS Lagorai, to which we refer you for further information on nature.

    The so-called Pond of Védes is actually a peat bog. In addition to the wetland itself, the biotope also includes part of the surrounding woods, which serve as a protection area.

    The biotope is also a Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Val di Cembra Avisio Network of Reserves.

    Two beautiful alpine lakes with peat bog areas located a short distance from Passo Rolle, at the north-eastern end of the Lagorai chain, municipality of Primiero San Martino di Castrozza.

    The lakes are included in the territory of the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park.

    A glacial outwash basin on the Dossone di Cembra, dug into the porphyries, on which morainic material was later deposited. In its centre is a residual pond, on the banks of which a vast agglomeration has developed, formed largely by sphagnum moss.
    This is a typical transitional peat bog, with patches of raised bog vegetation (extensive mats of sphagnum moss); in the outer area, a wooded belt with pubescent birch and dwarf pine has developed.

    A glacial basin on the mountain ridges of the upper Non Valley, with a vast peat bog.
    In a large part of the basin the peat has been removed, but some patches of it still remain in the outer south-western sector, with the vegetation of peaty wet meadows (molinieti and sceneti), partly with the presence of Scots pine (wooded peat bog). The central part, where the peat has been quarried, is largely occupied by secondary magnocariceti.

    A little to the south of Rovereto, the valley floor to the left of the Adige is occupied by the limestone blocks (marocca) of ancient landslides, covered by a stunted vegetation consisting mainly of shrubs. In the undulations of the mass of debris, two small lakes with appreciable marsh vegetation stand out. with marsh plants disappearing in favour of banal woody species.

    Pond at Malga Laghetto, near Monterovere on the road to Luserna, municipality of Lavarone (but part of the local reserve overlaps with the municipality of Caldonazzo).

    The reserve largely overlaps with the Palù di Monte Rovere Special Area of Conservation and is one of the protected areas that make up the Fiume Brenta Reserve Network.

    This is undoubtedly one of the best known nature reserves, as its protection, recognised in 1974 by the municipality of Baselga di Piné, has become a model for these small protected areas.
    It is a 'peaty-palustrine basin', in that it is an ancient lake that has been almost completely swamped and transformed into a marshland in which, however, there still remains a residual sheet of water of fair size, surrounded by a large reed bed.

    The Reserve is also a Special Area of Conservation.

    A vast basin of glacial exaction, U-shaped and carved out of the Piné porphyry plateau; in one of the arms of the U there is a small residual lake, round in shape.
    The vegetation consists of wet and marshy meadows, in the past subject to mowing.
    The edge of the pond is occupied by a strip of transitional peat bog vegetation, with a dense layer of sphagnum moss, which is now completely overgrown by reeds.

    A peat bog located in the Cembra Valley, embedded between the rises above the town of Cembra. It constitutes one of the main elements of a system of wetlands located on the ridge dividing Val di Cembra from Val d'Adige. The current vegetation is essentially composed of wet meadows and marshes, with a few patches of transition peat bog vegetation.

    The Reserve is also a Special Area of Conservation.

    A glacial drainage basin on the Dossone di Cembra, with wet meadows and marshes. In the centre is a puddle, the remains of an ancient pond, with a few patches of transition peat bog vegetation.

    The site represents one of the last examples of a riverine environment. It consists of a large riparian forest surrounded by overhanging rock faces on the Adige Valley. Numerous bird species nest and winter here.
