The Trentino Civil Protection system was presented to the Consul of Australia in Milan, Rachel White, today on an institutional visit to our territory. The president of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, received her in the Piazza Dante building together with the general manager of the Civil Protection, Forestry and Fauna Department Stefano Fait, before moving to the hangar in Via Lidorno to discover the secrets of the Helicopter Unit. "The Civil Protection is a reality that in Trentino involves about 13 thousand people, 12 thousand of whom are volunteers who guarantee the capillarity of the services and the timeliness of intervention in the event of an emergency," explained President Fugatti, highlighting the synergies between the various operational structures. These were presented in all their peculiarities during the meeting in which all the volunteer organisations took part (the Federation of Voluntary Fire Brigades and the associations Search and Disaster Dogs, Red Cross, Alpine Volunteer Units, Psychologists for Peoples, Alpine Rescue and Speleological Rescue), together with the permanent Fire Brigade Corps and the health component of Trentino Emergency.
