The political scientist Sergio Fabbrini offered a lucid analysis accompanied by a remembrance of the great Trentino statesman's daughter, Maria Romana Degasperi, in the voice of the president of the Trentino Foundation, Giuseppe Tognon. Interventions through which the importance of knowing our roots was recalled in order to understand the present and try to build a better future.

   Coronavirus, from the bulletin of Thursday 18 August 2022

   Coronavirus: today's report from the Provincial Health Services Agency reports no deaths. There are 335 new cases. Of these, 7 were detected by molecular (out of 170 tests carried out) and 328 by antigen (out of 1,477 tests carried out). The molecular then confirmed 3 positives intercepted in recent days by rapid tests. A total of 81 patients were hospitalised, including 1 in intensive care. Yesterday there were 8 new admissions and 12 discharges.

    Third meeting of the cycle of in-depth studies promoted by the Cabina di regia of protected areas and glaciers.
    This time the meeting is organised in the form of an easy hike from Passo Rolle to Baita Segantini, right in front of the Travignolo Glacier.
    In the afternoon, transfer to Paneveggio for lunch, a concluding speech and the inauguration of the renovated Visitor Centre.

    Cima Uomo, permafrost under the lens

    The morphology of the Dolomites - with its characteristic spires - has been determined by erosion and rockfalls such as the one that occurred on the afternoon of 16 August at Cima Uomo, on the Marmolada group. The Geological Service of the Civil Protection of the Autonomous Province of Trento is making the necessary estimates to determine the volume of the detachment, which created a veil of dust and debris on the ground. A natural and contained phenomenon, if compared to other episodes that have also occurred recently in areas that are little frequented and therefore went unnoticed.
