The Trentino Civil Protection has issued an ordinary (yellow) warning from 4 p.m. today, Tuesday 30 August 2022, until midnight tomorrow, Wednesday 31 August 2022, over the whole province. Local showers and near-stationary thunderstorms are likely to develop over narrow areas, which may lead to heavy rainfall accumulations and frequent lightning strikes in a short period of time. Thunderstorms may be accompanied by strong gusts of wind and isolated hailstorms may occur. On the basis of Meteotrentino's forecasts and the assessments carried out, criticalities are considered possible, mainly due to: erosion and landslides in the hydrographic network, surface runoff with possible material transport phenomena, flooding, landslides and rapid flows.
