Public transport: after the first five years of validity, free travel is still possible for those aged 70 and over. However, the first smart cards issued in 2019 when the initiative was launched are expiring and must be renewed.Those interested in renewing must go to a Trentino Trasporti ticket office with the card, the expiry date of which is shown on the receipt issued at the time or can be verified at the same ticket office. It is not necessary to present a new photograph. The ticket office will issue a 15-day free ticket useful for travelling while waiting for the card to be renewed.The initiative strongly desired at the beginning of the last legislature by president Maurizio Fugatti and councillor Mattia Gottardi is thus continuing. "With this possibility," emphasise President Fugatti and Councillor Gottardi, "the use of public transport is incentivised by addressing a segment of the population potentially interested in this type of service. It is important to encourage the use of public transport because of the positive effects on the environment and quality of life in general'.
