A commemorative ceremony to mark the 108th anniversary of Cesare Battisti's death was held late this afternoon on Doss Trento, at the mausoleum dedicated to him, organised by the provincial capital's municipality with the collaboration of ANA Trento Section. In the presence of the Vice-President of the Province and Councillor for Education, Culture and Sport, Family, Youth and Equal Opportunities Policies Francesca Gerosa, the Mayor of Trento Franco Ianeselli and Battisti's great-granddaughter, a wreath was laid and honours were paid to the fallen soldier, followed by the Alpine troops' choir singing the Trentino anthem.
Numerous civil and military authorities were present, including parliamentarians Andrea de Bertoldi and Sara Ferrari, the vice-president of ANA Trento Roberto Bertuol, many representatives with their banners from Unuci, Guardia di Finanza, Bersaglieri, Arma Aeronautica, paratroopers, Carabinieri, Artiglieri, Polizia di Stato and the director of the Fondazione Museo Storico del Trentino Giuseppe Ferrandi.
