Single Digital Gateway

Regulation (EU) No. 1724/2018 provided for theestablishment of a Europe-wideSingle Digital Gateway (SDG) for access to information, procedures and services for cross-border users, i.e. citizens and businesses living or operating in another EU country. Annex II of the aforementioned Regulation identifies the 21 administrative procedures for which the Single Digital Gateway guarantees easy access for users.

For the implementation of the intervention, an agreement was signed on 6 October 2021 between the Presidency of the Council of Ministers - Department for Digital Transformation, as the Administration holding the SDG sub-investment, and the Agenzia per l'Italia Digitale (AgID), as the Implementing Party of the sub-investment, by which the forms and methods of collaboration to implement the SDG were defined.

The involvement of the Autonomous Province of Trento in the project perimeter is envisaged in thearea of social security and in particular as sub-implementing entity of the administrative procedures of competence no. 18(Registration of employees with mandatory pension and insurance schemes) and no. 20(Notification to social security schemes of the end of a contract with an employee, excluding procedures for the collective termination of employees' contracts) and related to the administrative procedures of "mandatory recruitmentcommunications" and "mandatory termination communications".

Responding to the increased mobility needs of European citizens and businesses, modernising public administration and fostering the development of e-government strategies aimed at improving relations with users.

The One-stop Digital Shop aims to offer European citizens and businesses easy access to high-quality information and efficient online procedures based on the once-only principle.
