"We are aware of the critical issues raised in recent days and we are working to better address a complex issue that must be answered quickly, although I would like to point out that, with regard to the specific tender, there is the possibility to extend the contract in order not to interrupt the service". This is the reply of the Councillor for Health, Social Policies, Disability and Family, Stefania Segnana, to what has been reported in the local press regarding the calls for tenders that have been cancelled for the assignment of the home care service in the Alto Garda and Ledro, Vallagarina and Giudicarie communities. "However, I would like to make some important clarifications on the subject of resources: the Province has always intervened with supplementary transfers in favour of the Communities and the Val d'Adige Territory so that they could recognise the increase in the cost of personnel to the service managers in the event of the renewal of employment contracts. I would also like to point out that the provincial transfers in favour of the communities for the management of social-welfare services have not been reduced in recent years. Moreover, at the end of May, the provincial Home Care Operational Plan was also approved, which puts 23.5 million euro into the circuit within the framework of the PNRR, Mission 6, implementing the State, Regions, and Autonomous Provinces Agreement,' adds Segnana. 'It is a Plan that aims to reduce inappropriate hospitalisations, strengthen the garrisons on the territory and the existing networks, and improve integration with all the social-health services, as well as establish the figure of the reference geriatrician in the province.
