The enterprise submits the CIGS application - to the Ministry of Labour and to the Labour Service - within 7 days from the conclusion of the trade union consultation procedure or from the date of the stipulation of the company collective agreement relating to the use of the intervention.
The suspension or reduction of working time, as agreed between the parties, starts within 30 days from the date the application is submitted, The application must be submitted at the same time to the Ministry of Labour and Social Policies and to the Employment Service.
The Employment Service, having received the company's application, assesses what the company has declared during the joint examination at its offices.
The process ends with the Employment Service issuing a reasoned opinion on the application for the Cassa Integrazione Guadagni Straordinaria (Extraordinary Wages Guarantee Fund), communicated by PEC to the Ministry of Labour, General Directorate for Active and Passive Labour Policies. The Labour Service, in the three months preceding the end of the CIGS, proceeds to the verifications aimed at ascertaining the company commitments. The report must be sent to the Ministry within 30 days from the conclusion of the authorised extraordinary wage supplementation intervention.
