The provincial administration is carrying out the necessary investigations for decisive action, following the episode that occurred early yesterday afternoon and which involved the M90 bear. The animal had followed a couple of hikers along a forest road in the municipality of Mezzana and on several occasions - since 2023 - had entered the inhabited areas of Val di Sole. Already equipped with a radio collar, this troublesome specimen was also the subject of numerous attempts to deter it last year. Having informed Ispra, the Province is working to reconstruct the facts and ascertain with certainty what happened in order to finalise the request for removal by culling.
