With a series of measures envisaged by provincial laws and by the statutes of the bodies themselves, the Provincial Council, on the proposal of President Maurizio Fugatti, completed the procedure for the appointment of the members of the Board of Directors and Auditors of the three cultural institutes that protect and enhance the ethnographic and cultural heritage of the historical linguistic minority populations: the Ladin Cultural Institute 'Majon di Fascegn', the Mòcheno Cultural Institute/Bersntoler Kulturinstitut and the Cimbro Institute/Lusérn Cultural Institute.
The members include members chosen to represent the Provincial Council itself, which for the Ladin Institute appoints two, one of whom acts as president. According to the statutes of the Cimbrian and Monkish Cultural Institutes, on the other hand, the appointment of the president is the responsibility of the Board of Directors itself. The appointed bodies will remain in office until the end of the current legislature.
