To achieve magic like the ones in Paris you need super powers: the union of the group, growing together in life and sport, as a family. Responding in unison were the 'fairies' of artistic gymnastics, extraordinary team silver medallists at the Olympics, behind the Americans of the unreachable Simon Biles. In a Santa Chiara auditorium packed with sports suits and 'future fairies', Angela Andreoli, Alice D'Amato, Manila Esposito, Elisa Iorio and Giorgia Villa told their stories, from their first jumps on the sofa at home to the Olympic jumps in Paris, where they gave Italy a historic silver medal in the team event. To find an Olympic medal in team gymnastics we have to go back almost a hundred years: Amsterdam 1928. To interview the 'fairies', an exceptional presenter: Vanessa Ferrari, Olympic silver medallist in Tokyo, the first to nurture the passion of so many girls for a sport such as artistic gymnastics, a symbol of stubbornness and tenacity, capable of crowning the Olympic dream after so many injuries, the last of which made her reluctantly skip Paris. And then the retirement announcement.
