The second edition of the Trentino Advent Calendar, a charity initiative organised by the Trentino Lions Clubs, was presented today. The Advent Calendar offers numerous prizes thanks to the contributions of companies and individuals. The presentation meeting was held in the Sala Nones of Palazzo Benvenuti, in Trento. The presentation was also attended by the provincial councillor for health, social policies and cooperation Mario Tonina.
"This is an initiative that is good for the community and recognises the value of volunteering, in a year in which Trento has been chosen as the European capital. Through volunteering, positive motivations can be transmitted to young people. Over the years, Trentino has become what it is certainly thanks to autonomy, but also to the experience of cooperation and the values of which volunteering and the world of solidarity are bearers". The councillor recalled that the funds raised in the 2023 edition were used to donate an ultrasound scanner to be dedicated to the diagnostic activity of the Paediatric Medicine and Paediatric Surgery Operating Units of the Santa Chiara Hospital. He used words of great appreciation for the work of the Dynamo Camp Foundation. He also recalled Minister Schillaci's recent visit to Protonterapia and the paediatric hospice project. He finally thanked the organisers of the calendar initiative, also bringing the greetings of the provincial government.
