Taxidermy and embalming: register request

The taxidermist/taxidermist must record in a special register, provided by the provincial administration, all data on the animals delivered to him or that come into his possession, even temporarily, with particular reference to the species and origin of each specimen.

Failure to use the register is punishable, in addition to suspension or revocation of the authorisation, by an administrative sanction of between €25.82 and €103.29 for each specimen to which the violation relates.

The service is intended for anyone working as a taxidermist and/or embalmer.

The interested party must request the preparation of the register by sending an e-mail to the PEC address below (contact section) containing the following information

1. name and surname of the taxidermist/embalmer
2. details of the authorisation or SCIA;
3. progressive number of the new register (the registers provided by the administration must be numbered progressively starting with number 1; for example, a taxidermist already in possession of no. 3 registers will have to request the preparation of register no. 4)
4. contact details of the taxidermist/embalmer.

The days run from the day the request is submitted.

Following the request, the office prepares the register and contacts the taxidermist to collect it. A tax stamp provided by the person concerned is affixed to the register when it is collected.
