Wildlife

Wildlife consists of the populations of mammals and birds that live permanently or temporarily in a state of natural freedom in the Trentino region (excluding moles, rats, mice and voles).

The environmental diversity of Trentino leads to the presence of a variety of animal species, many of which are characteristic of the Alpine environment, such as the chamois, the ibex and the brown bear.
