Description
The provincial single allowance (Aup) is an economic benefit destined for family units resident in the Province of Trento. The allowance is of a welfare nature and is aimed at supporting needs of a general nature, such as income support, or needs of a particular nature, such as childcare, disability and birth support.
The function of the single allowance is to ensure equity in the granting of public benefits, administrative simplification and rationalisation of interventions, and it has absorbed a number of pre-existing benefits. With a unified application it is possible to access several benefits, rationalised and defined in specific 'quotas' of the single allowance.
Single allowance quotas andmain features
General or special needs are identified in categories, called quota A, B1, B3, C and C2. When the requirements are met, one has access to one or more tranches of the Single Allowance.
Quota A is a poverty alleviation and income support measure, aimed at guaranteeing the attainment of an economic condition sufficient to meet the household's general living needs.
Quota B is a measure aimed at supporting the expenses necessary to meet special needs. It is divided into Quota B1, aimed at supporting the expenses of children and equivalent minors (maintenance, care, education and education) and Quota B3, aimed at supporting the living needs of household members with disabilities (civil invalids, civil blind and deaf people).
Quota C is an economic measure aimed at countering demographic decline and supporting births and adoption and is divided into Quotas C and C2. Quota C is an economic contribution intended for families, for children born or adopted after 1 January 2020 and is paid for the duration of 24 months starting from the 13th month following the month of birth or adoption. Quota C2 is aimed at facilitating families with at least three dependent children, and provides a contribution upon the birth or adoption of the third child, or subsequent children. Quota C2 is granted in the lump sum of €5,000.00 for children born or adopted between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2025. The contribution is paid as a portion of the provincial single allowance, in a lump sum, on a monthly payment of the single allowance. For parents who do not benefit from the provincial single allowance, the application for the grant is submitted to the Social Cohesion Agency within two months from the date of birth/adoption of the child(ren).
