Description
After the experience of the RipartiTrentino digital platform, which made it possible during the COVID emergency to provide rapid and effective economic support to businesses in difficulty, the Province continues to be committed to simplifying and digitalising user services with the new institutional portal project, online from July 2021.
In particular, the Service Catalogue and the Aid to Enterprises area of the portal, which is currently being populated, aim to give continuity and capitalise on what has been learnt and achieved with RipartiTrentino for contributions to enterprises, starting from the comparison with the users of the services in order to improve their usability.
In this context, on 29 September 2022, at the Contamination Lab of the School of Innovation of the University of Trento, a group made up of accountants and representatives of trade associations carried out a test and comparison experiment on the business services published in the catalogue of services of the institutional portal, with the aim of gathering information to orient the description of the services to the real experience of users.
User feedback was crucial in helping the officials of the province and the system's entities understand the web behaviour of the recipients of business services. Suggestions were collected with which the content published so far will be improved, in particular by developing the findability and comprehension of the texts. For greater findability, the Aid to Enterprises area of the portal will be developed by gradually migrating all the contribution measures currently described on different websites: RipartiTrentino, APIAE , etc.
Thanks to the discussion, it was also possible to explain the role of the service catalogue, which is about to become the single access point to the Province's services for citizens, businesses and public administrations, overcoming the current scenario of multiple communication channels.
Cristiana Pretto, head of UMST Simplification and Digitisation, Daniele Bernardi, head of the Provincial Agency for the Encouragement of Economic Activities (APIAE) and Francesca Benini, director of the Agency and Credit Coordination Office of the Department of Economic Development, then presented the digital transition initiatives underway on business services, following the priorities identified in the policy document "Towards the Trentino Digital District 2026. Digital Agenda and for the simplification of the Autonomous Province of Trento 2022-2024".
The meeting concludes the co-participatory process that began online on 24 March 2022, within the framework of the Interreg Europe OSIRIS project in which UMST Simplification and Digitisation is a partner, which represented an opportunity to analyse and take stock of the co-creative process of RipartiTrentino in order to define guidelines for the design of digital services for citizens and businesses, enhancing the role of users.
The process of involving the final recipients of the services, starting from their design, will continue in the coming years thanks to the opportunities offered by the PNRR and the European structural funds, in which the Province is developing important projects that will guide the digital transformation of Trentino's public administration.
