Flood and hydrogeological risk management: new projects

The measure is specifically dedicated to the mitigation and better management of hydrogeological risk, with particular reference to activities for the restoration of damaged infrastructures and the reduction of residual risk.

About 14.1 million euro have been allocated to Trentino for the implementation of the four 'new' intervention projects. A part of them is earmarked for risk mitigation works along Provincial Road 14 leading to Lake Tovel in Val di Non and a part is earmarked for prevention works along the Adige riverbank.

Restoring damaged infrastructure and reducing residual risk in disaster-stricken areas on the basis of local investment plans.

Target: the implementation of interventions in Trentino contributes to the national target of fully completing the financed works by June 2026.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

Funding from PAT: € 5,109,059.41

As far as 'new projects' are concerned, work is underway on the following:

• "Risk mitigation works along the S.P. 14 Lago di Tovel - Val di Tovel (rockfall tunnel)";
• "Restoration of the left bank and floodplain of the Adige river between the northern boundary of the Province and the confluence of the Fossa di Salorno" and the "Reinforcement of several sections of the right bank of the Adige river, between the northern boundary of the Province and the built-up area of S. Michele all'Adige";
• "Restoration of the left embankment and floodplain of the Adige river between the northern boundary of the Province and the confluence of the Fossa di Salorno".
