General information
The project finances both the Technical Support Structure (TSS), which serves as the secretariat of the European Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), and part of the thematic activities of the nine Action Groups and the annual Presidencies' events.
Goals
The project aims to assist both the decision-making bodies of EUSALP with technical expertise and the work of the Action Groups in order to overcome common territorial challenges and find solutions to the impact of climate change in the Alpine region, in line with the Action Plan and the policies of the European Green Deal.
These are the main actions
- facilitate the involvement of all territorial actors in the EUSALP policy cycle;
- increase horizontal coordination and support closer collaboration between Action Groups to facilitate the definition of common strategic priorities;
- facilitate the implementation of Action Groups' work plans;
- facilitate improved multi-level collaboration in both policy and project work;
- support the implementation of the Strategy through the targeted use of funds available at regional, national and European level;
- increase the visibility of EUSALP and the involvement of all key actors.
The Province of Trento has an active role in all work packages and in particular will continue to ensure the coordination of Action Group 3 dedicated to labour market, education and training. The EGTC Euregio will also be involved in some activities, as co-leader of Action Group 4 on mobility.
