Lake Cavallazza

A high-altitude lake that filled an erosion basin of ancient glaciers.

Cavallazza was the theatre, like the entire Lagorai front line of which it is part, of fighting during the Great War. There are still many traces at high altitude with trenches, communication trenches, fortifications and tunnels.

The lake is accessible along hiking trails.
Here is the one proposed by the Paneveggio Pale di San Martino Nature Park.
