Description
The reserve is characterised by the presence of noble broadleaf forests - including the farnia - growing in areas where water is present.
Crossing this area along the Sarca, one cannot fail to notice the massive presence of a reed-like shrub with an exotic name: Reynoutria japonica or more commonly Japanese Polygonum. This is a species introduced for ornamental purposes that manages to reproduce very quickly, especially along watercourses. Due to its high competitiveness, this species poses a problem for the local vegetation, whose living space is increasingly shrinking.
