Description
This is a protected area of floodplain type, i.e. a stretch included between the bank of the watercourse and its embankment that is not well connected to the river due to the incision of the Sarca riverbed.
The area is largely covered by a dense, relatively well-preserved arboreal willow grove.
This reserve identifies and safeguards one of the last surviving floodplain areas along the lower course of the Sarca.
