Description

This small strip of land protects a corner of nature surrounded by a highly man-made landscape matrix, between the 'del Caffaro' state road, crops and some industrial buildings.

The side along the orographic right of the river is occupied by an area maintained as a meadow, which has recently undergone a development project to create a path, accompanied by the creation of a series of ponds and the planting of a few tree species typical of these areas. The bridge that allows one to cross to the opposite bank allows one to appreciate the lush riparian vegetation, here mainly consisting of shrubby willows.
Also part of the local reserve is the lower stretch of the Rio Caino, which descends from the mountains bordering Valle di Ledro, along which it is possible to visit the Ethnographic Trail of the same name.

Access arrangements

The area has recently undergone a development to create a path. A bridge makes it possible to cross to the opposite bank, characterised by shrubby willows.

Along the Rio Caino it is possible to visit the Ethnographic Trail of the same name. In a few kilometres of dense woodland you can discover an entire craft settlement dedicated to the trades of the past (the blacksmith, the cheese-maker, the woodcutter, the charcoal burner) and to local history, such as the Orto della Strega Brigida.
