The provincial administration renews its invitation to all farmers and hobbyists to equip themselves with electrified fences, fundamental tools for preventing damage caused by bears and wolves, thus protecting agricultural and zootechnical activities. The fences, made available free of charge by the Province's Fauna Service, are the most effective solution for keeping large carnivores away from sensitive areas and built-up areas. Deterrence tools also have a strong psychological effect on wild animals, which, after being shocked, tend to avoid approaching the protected area again. This defence mechanism is not dangerous for humans and contributes to significantly reducing the risk of damage to local resources and, above all, to fostering coexistence between local communities and large carnivores.
