Pergine Festival celebrates its 50th edition in 2025, reaching a significant milestone: half a century of cultural planning. This important anniversary is an opportunity to look back at the past, reflect on the present and project towards the future. After the success of the last two editions, which saw a threefold increase in attendance, the artistic direction entrusted to Babilonia Teatri, with the new edition entitled "Ieri, Oggi e Domani" (Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow), once again explores new scenes, languages and generations in different venues in Pergine. A birthday that does not want to be a point of arrival, but a bridge towards tomorrow, maintaining a constant dialogue with the territory and its communities.
The presentation of the event's programme, which took place today in the Sala Festi of Trento's Teatro Sociale, was attended by the Vice-President and Councillor for Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, who emphasised that over the past decades, the Festival of Theatre and Performing Arts has always stood out for its innovation and accentuated experimentation, with the ability to focus on the relationship with its urban context and its community, making the audience not just a mere spectator of live performances but a true active protagonist, and carrying forward the idea that culture is a universal right, accessible to all. The vice-president thanked Pergine Festival for espousing a clear vision of what live performance is and what function it should have in present and future society.
